Togouchi 12 Year Old undergoes a unique maturation process, with Hiroshima based distiller Chugoku Jozo choosing to store casks in a 361 meter long tunnel. Here the whisky is matured in oak barrels at a constant temperature of 14°C with 80% humidity, with the final blend rich in peaty single malts whiskies.
