This rye whiskey from Vermont farm distillery WhistlePig is the third and final release in the Farmstock Rye series which moves towards the distillery vision of 'Triple Terroir' - aiming to craft whiskey distilled using the farm's own grain, water and custom Vermont white oak casks. This edition is crafted with 52% 3-year-old Triple Terroir whiskey , the first in the series to be made with a majority of WhistlePig whiskey.
The nose is sweet and aromatic with vanilla, maraschino cherry, roast chestnuts and hints of cigar leaf. The palate brings oak and toffee with baking spices and soft notes of creme brulee and rose petal, before a long and warming finish with a pleasant rye spice.
