About Paul John
A culmination of the graceful union of art with science, Paul John Indian Single Malts are made from a vigilantly watched process from the mashing of grains, fermentation, distillation, maturation in American oak casks, vatting and finally bottling. The liquid is always free from chill filtration, with no additives. The Paul John flagship expressions are Brilliance, Edited and Bold. Brilliance is a non-peated whisky, Edited has a hint of peat, while Bold is the epitome of a peated whisky.
Paul John Whisky's unique copper pot stills allow for a more efficient and precise distillation process. The stills are designed with long, narrow necks and a short, wide base, which creates a greater surface area for the copper to interact with the spirit. This interaction helps to remove any impurities and unwanted flavours from the whisky, resulting in a smoother, more refined texture.
They have released a Christmas edition every year since 2018.
Six row barley is sourced from the vast lands of Rajasthan and Haryana to the foothills of the Himalayas. It's higher protein content offers a bold depth of flavour, and the higher husk content produces an oilier, richer spirit.
History
Established in 1996, John Distilleries grew to be a leading spirit company within less than a decade, not just in India but across the globe. Years of research and study on distillation and the country’s whisky culture convinced founder Mr Paul P John that he could create a single malt that would present the innumerable hues of India, a single malt made in India not just for Indians to relish but for the whole world to experience- ‘The Great Indian Single Malt’. Launched in international markets, each expression of his single malts has won immense appreciation and innumerable acclaimed international awards.
