History

The Tullamore distillery was established in 1829, and distilled onsite in the small Irish town of Tullamore for decades until it moved production to Midleton Distillery in County Cork, after being purchased by John Powers & Son. After being sold to William Grant & Sons in 2010, a new distillery was constructed in Tullamore, and opened in 2014. As of 2015, the whiskey sells about 950,000 cases per year – the second best-selling after Jameson.
