About Waterford

Waterford Whisky has a mission to extract the most flavour naturally from the original source – barley. Whether using heritage, organic, biodynamic or traditionally grown grain, the differing barley from individual farms around Ireland imbues complex flavours to each expression. The mash is then filtered through a state-of-the-art equipment, to extract only the very best from the grain, and matured with only the finest French and American oak casks.

History

Originally a Guinness brewery built in 2004, Waterford distilleries’ site can trace its history as an active brewery back to 1792. Mark Reynier purchased the premises in 2014. A former wine merchant, his touch is the reason why Waterford whisky’s method mirrors wine making. In 2016, the first spirit ran off the stills, and their first two editions were released in 2020: the first two Single Farm Origin.
