History
William Larue Weller, born in 1825, spent most of his life educating the public on his pioneering bourbon recipe using wheat in the mash bill. His expression was distilled at Stitzel-Weller, the same almost mythical distillery where the original Pappy Van Winkle was made. They both now find a home with Buffalo Trace Distillery, owned by the Sazerac company.
