The Jacobite Description
This blended Scotch is made with malt and grain whiskies distilled in Scotland and matured in oak casks. This expression takes its name from the supporters of King James VII of Scotland, James II of England, the Stuart king who was deposed following the 1688 Revolution. The movement was more widespread in Scotland than in other parts of the UK, contributing to the Jacobite image as a sign of Scots rebellion. Back to top
