How to Buy
Looking for something rare, something old, something to add to your collection or to make an occasion that bit extra special? Discover unique, different and interesting bottles for sale in our rolling auctions.
It's not just whisky we sell either — we also sell rum, cognac, gin and other spirits.
There are just six simple steps to buying rare, collectable and delicious bottles at The Whisky Shop Auctions.
Step 1
Create an Account
Registration costs £5(+VAT). Add registration to your basket and create an account (or log into your existing whiskyshop.com account) during checkout.
Members of The W Club can register free of charge.

Step 2
Start Bidding!
See something you like? Enter your maximum bid and our system will automatically bid for you, only when needed and up to your limit. We'll let you know if you've been outbid so you'll know if you need to take action.
Our anti-sniper software automatically extends auction end times to stop bots placing last second bids, so only genuine spirits lovers win our auctions.
Step 3
Win! (...or Lose)
If the auction ends with you as the highest bidder and any reserve has been met, then you are the winner! We'll email you with instructions for payment and delivery.
If you have been outbid, or if the reserve on an item has not been met, you'll also receive an email to let you know. You'll then be able to place bids on other items straight away with our rolling auction program.

Delivery or Storage
During checkout you'll be able to choose from:
delivery to your chosen address,
delivery to one of our shops,
free collection from our Auction House,
free storage for future delivery allowing you to bundle items into fewer deliveries.

Pay for Your Items
You can pay for your items by credit/debit card, PayPal, bank transfer, or using the funds in your Virtual Wallet.
Our buyer's commission of 10% is applied to the hammer price. UK & EU residents are required to pay VAT on commission and delivery, but not on the hammer price.
