This 'vatted malt', or blended malt in today's classifications, has been produced from 100% malt whisky distilled in Scotland and allowed to mature for 12 years before bottling. This particular release has been produced by Insignia of Merseyside Ltd. as a personalised commemorative bottling, commissioned by GEC Switchgear Ltd. to celebrate the company's 75th anniversary in 1988.
