Mackinlay's Shackleton Replica 1st Edition Description
Produced by Whyte & MacKay, this based on the whisky which was left in Antarctica by Sir Ernest Shackleton during his expedition between 1907-1909 where his aim was to reach the pole which, unfortunately, he was not successful in doing but did successfully get just 112 miles from the pole. . This is a replica of the bottle which was found in 2007 after having spent over 100 years preserved encased n Antarctic ice. It has been created using various whiskies from Speyside, the Islands and the Highlands including rare 1983 Glen Mhor. Back to top
