Cointreau Description
Cointreau distillery was first set up back in 1849 by two brothers Adolphe who was a confectioner, and Edouard-Jean Cointreau. The first bottles of the orange liqueur were sold in 1875 with most of their stocks being exported. They were a family owned company until 1990 when they merged with Remy Martin and formed Remy Cointreau.
