Diggers & Ditch Doublemalt New Zealand Whisky Company Description
Distilled in New Zealand at the Dunedin, also known as Willowbank, distillery, this rare whisky was created using the remaining stock from the worlds southern most distillery. Opening in 1974, Willowbank were in full production when Seagrams of Canada bought the distillery in the 1980s followed years later by Australian brewer Fosters buying the distillery in 1997. Deciding to close its doors, they sold all remaining barrel stocks over time and The New Zealand Whisky Company bought the remaining 443 barrels and have matured it in the seaside bonstore in Oamaru. This expression has been blended with single malt from an undisclosed Australian distillery and bottled at 45% abv. Back to top
