Sazerac takes its name from the Sazerac Coffee House on Royal Street in New Orleans which played a huge part in the creation of the Sazerac Cocktail. In 1869 Thomas H Handy purchased the coffee house and began working exclusively with liquor. Distilled at the Buffalo Trace distillery in Kentucky, it has been matured for 18 years before being bottled at 45% abv. Back to top
