Distilled on the Isle of Islay at Caol Ila distillery, this release was supplied by The Good Spirits Company for ralfy.com. This expression was distilled in 2011 and was put down to mature in oak for 10 years. The whisky spent a portion of the first 9 years of maturation in a St. Emilion barrique before being transferred to continue its maturation to a Pomerol barrique. It then spend a final year finishing its maturation in an Oloroso sherry hogshead. Part of a limited release of 279 bottles, this whisky was bottled free from chill filtration and artificial colourings, at a strength of 57.2% abv. Back to top
