Distilled on the Isle of Islay at Kilchoman distillery, this release forms part of batch one of their cask comparison series. This batch is paired with cask 726 compares Kilchoman's own 100% Islay barley with that sourced from the maltings in Port Ellen. This expression uses Kilchoman's malted barley, peated to 20ppm. The spirit was distilled in 2012 and was laid down to mature for eight years in a single Buffalo Trace ex-bourbon barrel. A limited release of just 216 bottles, this whisky has been bottled free from chill filtration and artificial colourings at a strength of 55.7% abv. Back to top
