Produced at the WhistlePig distillery based in Vermont, this expression is part of the Boss Hog series and is the sixth edition. It is a straight rye whiskey produced using koji fermentation and is matured for an undisclosed period of time in oak casks including a period spent in Japanese Umeshu barrels, the first American whiskey to do so.
