Next on our list are our wonderful team in Cardiff, who were eager to share their passion for all things Torabhaig, and in particular our Torabhaig Special Reserve TWS Exclusive.

Torabhaig is a distinctive whisky distillery located on the Isle of Skye, Scotland. Founded in 2017, it sits in the scenic village of Sleat and produces small-batch, peated single malt whiskies. The distillery uses traditional methods, including copper pot stills and water sourced from the nearby Torabhaig Estate.
Torabhaig Special Release is a heavily peated Whisky Shop exclusive! This island single malt is made with concerto malted barley with an in-grain phenols level of 78+ PPM, and fermented with Pinnacle MG and Anchor Yeasts. The delicious dram was crafted by maturing the liquid in a marriage of Madiera, Bourbon and Refil Whisky casks. With a limited release of 745 bottles, this whisky sits at 61.5% abv.

Since opening a store here, our Cardiff team have watched the community around them flourish, and have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it. They've been delighted by the amazing local members of the W Club who've joined the many tasting events the shop has held, sharing the team's passion for whisky.
Community and customer relations are at the very heart of The Whisky Shop Cardiff, and the team are tireless in their efforts to connect with everyone who stops into the store. Wouter and Tanya, for example, were firm favourites amongst the regulars, and were at the forefront of the Cardiff W Club, having joined in order to explore and learn about the world of whisky. Although they've since left the area, they took with them a wealth of whisky knowledge and have become quite the connoisseurs thanks to the team. The Berrimans are also great favourites, often bringing staff samples from various distilleries they've visited, and are a real asset to the Cardiff branch community!
