Here are a few quick answers to some of the questions we get asked most often by our customers.

Delivery

Once an order has been dispatched, delivery takes 1 – 2 working days for most UK mainland addresses, up to two weeks for Europe and up to 3 weeks for all other regions of the world. Find more information on our UK Delivery and International Delivery pages.

Yes we do. Delivery can take between 5 and 10 working days. Please see our USA Delivery page for more details.

Due to ongoing Brexit trade relations, our courier has suspended delivery to some European destinations. You can find full details of where we can ship alongside the costs on our International Delivery page.

During checkout you have the option to choose our Reduce & Recycle service. Many of our products come in a gift carton, tube or box, which can be difficult to pack safely and difficult to recycle at home. By choosing not to receive this outer packaging you can save paper, reduce carbon emissions and save time at the recycling centre. Just let us know during checkout if you'd prefer not to receive any unnecessary packaging by ticking the box - and don't worry, we won't dismantle any gift packs you've ordered!

Please note: any recyclable boxes, cartons or tubes that we remove are sent for recycling immediately and so cannot be provided after your original order has been dispatched. For items with RRP greater than £150, packaging is retained for a short time in case of returns.

Gift Orders

You can purchase Gift cards here These can be used online or in-store and you can choose between an e-Gift Card sent by email or a physical Gift Card sent in the post. Our physical Gift Cards are credit card sized and come in a handsome card holder with space to write a personal message. The perfect addition to any gifting occasion. For our e-Gift Cards, you can choose the date it is delivered or have it sent immediately. If you're not sure of the recipient's email address you can always enter your own email address and print out the e-Gift Card at home. Our shops also sell gift cards which can be used in store or online.
We can engrave a range of bottles with your own personalised message. The space available for the engraved message is limited by the shape and size of the bottle, but will be clearly indicated on the product page. Please note we cannot accept any message for engraving that contains explicit content or language that is deemed to be offensive. We engrave bottles at our Glasgow warehouse and orders can take an additional 2-3 working days to dispatch. If you require your engraved bottle urgently, please get in touch and we will try to be accommodating.
Yes – you can include a personalised gift message with your order. You can enter the message on the basket page during checkout and we will print this on a card to be included with your parcel.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer this service as our priority is to ensure that your delivery arrives safely and securely. You can include a gift message during checkout if you wish. We do not include prices in any of our shipments.

Yes – simply enter the recipient’s address under ‘Shipping address’ during the checkout and enter your own details under ‘Billing address’.

All our orders include a packing slip with details of the purchaser and the delivery address, however these do not include any pricing or financial details so they are perfectly suited to gift orders.

Selling Whisky

Yes! We regularly buy individual bottles and collections for our archive and we even help customers place their bottles in our rolling auctions. If you are looking to sell a bottle or a collection of bottles, click here for more information.

The W Club Rewards

Firstly, welcome aboard! Once you sign up, your 10% Welcome Discount Code will be sent to the email address you signed up with. This usually takes a couple of minutes, but please allow for up to 15 minutes before contacting customer services. This discount is limited to one use per purchase, where the total basket value is less than £500. Shipping costs and some products, such as spirit bottles under 35cl, gift cards and some non-spirit items, are excluded. "Members Pay Less" savings cannot be combined with your Welcome Discount.
Unfortunately, we’re not able to apply the welcome discount to an order once it’s been placed, however it will still be valid for use on your next purchase.
The main benefits of our W Club Delivered and Premium memberships include free UK Mainland shipping (terms apply – see full details), and an increase in points earned per purchase (Delivered and W Club Premium members earn 3 and 4 points per £1 spent, respectively). W Club Premium goes even further, offering a wide range of exclusive benefits, including:
  • A quarterly print edition of Whiskeria magazine delivered to your door
  • Access to members-only ballots
  • Priority access to in-demand whiskies
  • Invitations to exclusive tastings – both in-store and virtual
  • Premium-only offers such as Whisky Wednesday deals

It’s a membership designed to reward and enrich your whisky journey at every step. You can join either Delivered or Premium here
You primarily earn Rewards points through purchases. The number of points you earn per pound spent depends on your Rewards tier:
  • Points Members earn 2 points per £1
  • >Delivered Members earn 3 points per £1
  • Premium Members earn 4 points per £1
In addition to shopping, you can also earn points by completing simple actions listed in the Earn Points section of your Account page — for example, setting your nearest store or entering your date of birth. Please note that points expire 12 months after they are earned. Any points due to expire within the next 30 days will be shown in the Points History tab of your Account page. To redeem your points for vouchers, head to the Redeem Points section of your Account.
Once you redeem a voucher from the Redeem Points section of your account, you’ll see two options: a voucher code, and a button to use it in-store. To use it online: Click the voucher code to copy it (or copy it manually), add your items to the basket, and paste the code into the ‘Apply Rewards/Discount Code’ box at checkout. Click ‘Apply Discount’ — your basket will update. If any items are excluded, you’ll be notified. To use it in-store: Click ‘Use this code in our Shops’ to generate a QR code. Show this at checkout in any Whisky Shop to apply your discount. Note: Exclusions apply, and vouchers can’t be used with other discount codes. Vouchers can only be used once per transaction and cannot be combined.
Points expire 12 months after they are earned. Any points due to expire within the next 30 days will be shown in the Points History tab of your Account page. Rewards vouchers expire 30 days after they are activated, so we recommend only activating a voucher when you're ready to use it.
If your order was cancelled or failed for any reason, and you have lost your voucher, please contact our customer service team at [email protected] with your order details (your order number, the items ordered, the date it was placed). We’ll reinstate your voucher as quickly as possible.
You can view your Membership Card by clicking ‘View Membership Card’ on your Account page. This will display your Rewards Membership Card, along with options to add it to your Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Please note: these options are only available on compatible Apple or Google devices.
If you’re unable to access your membership card when shopping in one of our stores, you can still collect points. Just let a team member know that you're a W Club Rewards member and provide either your membership number (found on your virtual card) or the email address linked to your account.
Yes — if you’re already a W Club Rewards member but your purchase wasn’t linked to your account at the time, you can still have the points added retrospectively. To do this, either speak to a staff member in-store or contact our customer service team at [email protected]. Please include your receipt number, the date and location of your purchase, and the items purchased.
Yes — if you have an active voucher you can’t access, or if you have points you haven’t yet converted into a voucher, you can still redeem them at the point of purchase. Simply provide your membership number or the email address linked to your account, and a member of staff will assist you.
We’d be sad to see you go, but if you’d like to delete your Rewards profile, you can submit a request using our account deletion form. Please allow up to 30 days for your request to be processed.
It depends on how and where you joined.
  • If you signed up online, your membership is likely set to auto-renew.
  • If you joined in-store or received a gifted membership, your account will not auto-renew.
  • Other factors, such as your card’s expiry date, may also affect renewal.
We’ll email you before your membership expires to confirm your renewal status. If you’d like to check or update your renewal settings, please visit the Stored Payment Methods section of your Account page.
There are various reasons why you may not be receiving your W Club emails. Before getting in touch please:
  • Check your spam or junk folder. Your email client may have accidentally marked our emails as spam.
  • If you use Gmail make sure to check the ‘Promotions’ and ‘Social’ categories that your inbox filters automatically. Similarly, if you use Outlook, make sure to check the ‘Other’ category in your inbox.
  • Sign in to your W Club Rewards account and check your current tier and that there are no typos in the email address you have provided.
  • Check you have specified the correct ‘local store’ in your Account info

If you are having trouble signing in to your W Club account, try the following:
  • Check you have typed your email address and password as you did during the sign-up process – both fields are case sensitive.
  • If you can’t remember your password, simply click ‘Forgot your password?’ beneath the sign in boxes. Type in the email address you used to register your account and we’ll send you a link to reset your password.
If you think you have the correct details but you still can’t access your account, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help. To help us find your account information as quickly as possible, it’ll be helpful if you can tell us the email address and full name you used to register or activate your account. The W Club Premium

As a member of The W Club Premium you will have access to a wide range of benefits, accessible both online and in store at The Whisky Shop across the UK. Find your nearest store. These include:
  • Double W Club Rewards Points (vs our Points tier) on each purchase
  • Exclusive offers and discounts (such as our bi-weekly Whisky Wednesday Deals) available only to Premium tier members;
  • Unlimited free delivery from www.whiskyshop.com to UK mainland addresses. See here for exclusions;
  • a quarterly copy of Whiskeria magazine (cover price £4.95) delivered to your door;
  • Members only savings at TWS Auctions
  • Invitations to tastings hosted by your local branch of The Whisky Shop;
  • Access to our Digital Drams virtual tastings
  • Priority Access and Ballots on limited edition bottlings and in-demand new releases arriving at The Whisky Shop;
  • Exclusive Partner Offers
Non-UK residents are welcome to join The W Club, however please note that free delivery of Whiskeria magazine will require an additional subscription fee to cover international postage, you will not be able to access Digital Drams events or avail of our free shipping service. If you would like to receive Whiskeria magazine to an overseas address, please email [email protected] and we’ll be happy to discuss postage costs with you.
Since the launch of The W Club Rewards in 2024, you no longer need to fret, as you can download a virtual membership card from the link in the ‘Account page’. As for May 2025 we no longer provide a physical membership card with new subscriptions, these are only included by default in gift subscriptions. If you would still like a physical membership card, please contact our customer service team.
Simply sign into ‘my account’ and update the address details shown. Remember to change your nearest store too, if this is applicable.
If your latest copy of Whiskeria hasn’t arrived, just let us know by emailing [email protected] and we’ll pop another copy in the post for you.
If you’ve signed up for a tasting run by your local branch of The Whisky Shop and find yourself unable to attend, please let us know as early as possible by calling or emailing the relevant store (you can find store contact details here) so we can allocate the place to another member (and refund you if applicable).
If you’ve bought a W Club Premium membership but the card hasn’t shown up, please tell us as soon as possible by emailing [email protected]. We’ll let you (or the recipient) know their membership number so they can begin benefitting from their W Club membership, and will put another card in the post for you right away.
By logging into ‘my account’, you’ll be able to see when your current annual membership to The W Club Premium is set to expire. If you wish to stop the auto-renewal of your membership, you can remove the stored payment method from your membership by clicking 'Edit Settings' on the Manage Membership page of your account. You can remove your stored payment method at any time before your renewal date.
If you have an existing customer account at www.whiskyshop.com that uses a different email address to the one linked with your W Club account, you won’t be able to access our members only offers while logged into that account. Please log out of your whiskyshop.com customer account, then access the offers again via our Members Hub. If you’re still having trouble, we’re here to help: email [email protected].
By logging into ‘my account’, you’ll be able to see when your current annual membership to The W Club is set to expire. We’ll also send you a remainder email seven days before your membership is due to expire/renewal and then another remainder on the day of expiry.
There are three main points that define Whisky Wednesdays:
  • Whisky Wednesday deals are only available to current active members of the W Club Premium
  • Whisky Wednesday deals are limited to a handful of carefully chosen products
  • Whisky Wednesday deals are available bi-weekly
Whisky Wednesday deals can only be accessed by active W Club Premium members. If you’re an active W Club member, you’ll receive a ‘sale now open’ email on Wednesday morning that’ll send you directly to The W Club Members Offers page on www.whiskyshop.com. All Whisky Wednesday deals are available for Click & Collect free of charge from any of The Whisky Shop stores. Once the bottles are gone, they’re gone, and no more will be put on sale at the offer price.
Yes! The W Club Premium Memberships purchased online for personal use (not as a gift) will be auto-activated on completion of purchase, so you’ll be able to sign into your account and access all the exciting benefits of the club right away.
As a member of the W Club you are entitled to four complimentary copies of Whiskeria magazine posted direct to your door each year. Magazines are released quarterly (spring/summer/autumn/winter) and the arrival of a new issue is usually announced via The W Club social media channels (follow @mywclub for all the latest news). If you think you’ve missed out on an edition of Whiskeria, please first:
  • Check that your membership has not expired – you can do so by signing into your Account page.
  • Ensure that your delivery details are up to date. Again, you can check and update this on your Account page.
If your account is showing as active with the correct address and your magazine still missing, please contact us on [email protected] and one of our team will look into this for you.
Unfortunately we discontinued our Explorer Safari subscriptions in June 2021. If you have a code that you are unable to activate, please get in touch to discuss your options.
