Glenmorangie 14 Year Old Quinta Ruban

You can't go far wrong with a port finished whisky. Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban spent 10 years maturing in American white oak casks, before being transferred into specially selected ruby port pipes from the Quintas - the wine estates of Portugal. Extra maturation in these port pipes develops the liquid into a voluptuous spirit with a complex balance of sweet and dry flavours. Expect layers of sweet chocolate, mint and orange flavour.

The Dalmore 12 Year Old

Hailing from the Highlands, The Dalmore 12 Year Old offers plenty of sweet, full bodied flavour, infused in part from their use of sherry casks from González Byass sherry house in Jerez, Spain. The attractively perfumed nose offers sweet malt, thick cut orange marmalade, sherry and a hint of leather. On the palate, sweetening sherry dominates, balanced by delicate spices and citrus.

Glenfiddich Orchard Experimental Series

From their exceptionally impressive Experimental Series, this sweet and gentle expression showcases fruity sweetness at its best. The single malt was finished for four months in Somerset Pomona Spirit casks, a syrupy apple liqueur. This is a truly ambitious feat from Glenfiddich and it pays off - it's a totally triumphant dram! Expect sumptuous orchard fruits, spiced oak and rich toffee flavours, before leading into the sweet and lingering finish.

Tomatin 14 Year Old

Delectable and sumptuous, this 14-year-old single malt from Tomatin spent its maturation period in bourbon barrels before being transferred into ultra-sweet tawny port casks. The Highland gem boasts rich aromas of toffee, sweet oak, and honey before moving into a palate that is full of candied almonds and red berries. Delicious!

Balvenie 14 Year Old Caribbean Cask

You can't beat a whisky finished in casks previously used to age fermented sugarcane, when it comes to sweet Scotch. The Balvenie Caribbean Cask was first matured in traditional oak whisky casks for 14 years, and then moved to Caribbean rum casks. To create the ideal finish, the Malt Master filled American oak casks with his own blend of select West Indian rums. The result is an exceptional single malt whisky with the traditional smooth, honeyed character of The Balvenie, with key notes of caramel, brown sugar and fruits.

Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie Scottish Barley

One of the sweetest whiskies hailing from the notably smoky Islay region, The Classic Laddie was crafted by former Bruichladdich Master Distiller Jim McEwan from individually selected casks to showcase the classic, floral and elegant Bruichladdich house style. It is matured for its entire life by the shores of Lochindaal in premium American oak, resulting in a gorgeously malty sweetness, alongside honey, vanilla and citrus notes.

Fettercairn 12 Year Old

Notably light and sweet, Fettercairn is a perfect example of a true Highland whisky. Distilled in the village of Fettercairn, near the Cairngorm mountains, this lush 12-year-old expression is matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks for its full maturation. The result is a light and fruity spirit, with notes of juicy nectarines and tropical fruits on the palate and a rich finish of sultanas and espresso. Lovely!

Glenfarclas 15 Year Old

Known for their richness, Glenfarclas utilise sherry casks to their full potential in their 15 Year Old. Enjoy this fabulously sweet expression from one of Speyside's best-loved distilleries, full of rich dark fruits, toffee and vanilla before leading into a particularly sweet finish. Wonderful stuff.

Aberlour 12 Year Old

Located in the heart of Speyside, Aberlour uses a mostly sherry casks for maturation, resulting in fascinatingly sweet drams. The 12-year-old is ‘double cask matured’ in this manner and Oloroso sherry is prominent on the sweet nose, along with honey, almonds and wood. Expect Christmas spices, sherry, stewed apple, honey and almonds.
