Situated on Scotland's picturesque west coast lies the island of Mull, the stunning location of the Tobermory distillery, and home to Ledaig. Undoubtedly one of Scotland's most beautiful and charming villages, it is a fitting home for one of the smallest and prettiest distilleries. Built in 1798, it is the only distillery on the island, and one of the oldest commercial distilleries in Scotland. Quite unique to other distilleries, it produces two very distinct single malt Scotch Whiskies. Ledaig is a wonderfully distinguished single malt. Not only is it handcrafted, but it can claim to also be the sole peated malt from this famous 18th century shrine to quality. Laying in ancient vaults for a full ten years the superior oak wood casks, the dark, aromatic lochan water from high on the mountains and the (exclusively peat dried) malted barley together create this award-winning robust and vibrant lighthouse to quality.
