J.J. Corry's The Chosen is a rare 27-year-old Irish Single Malt whiskey, distilled in 1991 and bottled at cask strength at 55% ABV. Over its 27 years of maturation, it developed into a unique expression showcasing the finest qualities of Ireland's natural resources. Each bottle is presented in a hand-cut crystal decanter, designed by renowned glassmaker J. Hill's Standard, and encased in a handmade ash cabinet by John Galvin Design, making it a true collector’s item. Limited to just 100 bottles, The Chosen is a celebration of traditional Irish craftsmanship and the beauty of the Clare coastline. This exceptional release is not only a masterpiece of distilling but also a tribute to Ireland’s rich heritage and natural elegance.
"Superbly elegant and rich. Dried mango yields to layers of polished wood, toffee, chestnuts, and a
most wonderful rancio. On the palate, a burst of surprisingly young ripe fruits with a luscious oily
mouthfeel giving way to a hint of incense and touch of smoke. The length continues as the initial
fruits slowly fade and there is a final wisp of smoke."
J.J Corry Bonder's Edition 9 Year Old PX Sherry Cask #363 The Whisky Shop Exclusive is a limited edition single cask, single pot still Irish whiskey. Aged in ex-Kentucky bourbon cask and finished in a Pedro Ximénez sherry cask from Jerez, Spain, this limited-release has only 180 bottles available.
The nose reveals sun-dried fruits, vanilla, and caramel, with a subtle malted barley note, while the palate offers dark chocolate, candied orange peel, and a warm oak spice. The finish is a lingering blend of dried fruits, toasted nuts, and a gentle warmth, making this whiskey a truly exceptional sip at 57% ABV.
