Miyagikyo

With Valentines-esque flavours such as rose water and chocolate, Miyagikyo is a superb Japanese single malt. The distillery was founded by 'The Father of Japanese Whisky' Masataka Taketsuru, who has a whisky love story of his own. He learned his whisky-crafting skills at Longmorn distillery in Scotland, and met and fell in love with a local woman, Jessie "Rita" Cowan. She uprooted her life to follow him back to Japan, and lived out her days with Masataka.

Hotel Chocolat Chocolate Velvetised Cream

Kill two birds with one stone by gifting this sumptuously sweet liqueur by Hotel Chocolat. It is made using a velvetised blend of Hotel Chocolat's chocolate, cream, and vodka - a sweet treat that will be perfect enjoyed over ice as a dessert dram. There's no harm in gifting double chocolate, though!

Glenfiddich Grande Couronne 26 Year Old

If you'd like to really splash out this Valentine's Day, this special Glenfiddich is surely the whisky with the most romantic design. The gorgeous golden bottle is presented in a display case adorned with a Rococo painting: a true highlight of Glenfiddich distillery's Grand Series. The expression completed its extended finish in rare French cognac casks, adding lavish layers of sweet oak, brown sugar and soft spice. The whole experience is reminiscent of Parisian patisserie: think Tarte Tatin and freshly baked croissants from the City of Love.

Kyro Pink Gin

Upgrade their gin & tonic with a valentine's heart-coloured gin; with decadent flavours to match. Lovingly made at Finnish craft distillery Kyro, the gin is infused with flavours of raspberries, strawberries and lingonberries - all foraged from Finnish forests and gardens. Perfect with soda or tonic and lots of ice, or in a wintery Bramble cocktail!

Rabbit Hole Heigold Kentucky Straight Bourbon

This sweet high-rye whiskey has been matured in slowly-toasted barrels, which reveals flavours of caramel, oak, citrus and warm spices. Founded in 2012, Kaveh Zamanian followed his true calling of bourbon making when he met and fell in love with his wife, Heather, a native of Louisville. He stepped away from his career as a clinical psychologist, and moved his family to Kentucky to follow his passion - setting up Rabbit Hole distillery.

Batch & Bottle Reyka Rhubarb Cosmopolitan

Have a cocktail hour at home, with this straight-from-the-bottle Rhubarb Cosmopolitan. Valentine's Pink in colour, the carefully crafted cocktail is composed of crisp Reyka Icelandic vodka, natural rhubarb, tangy blood orange and zingy fresh lime.

Moet & Chandon Imperial Champagne

Moet & Chandon is synonymous with celebrations; and Valentine's day is a day for celebrating for those who love love. A seductively elegant champagne, it's bursting with bright flavours of rich pear, citrus, and sweet floral notes: you'll want to raise a toast to Moet & Chandon for creating such an exceptional drink! It might be fun to try the "diet cocaine", a cocktail consisting of diet coke and champagne (hence the silly pun) - endorsed by Tom Hanks.

Glengoyne Sensory Tasting Experience

Date night! This tasting pack will allow you both to conduct your own whisky tasting at home, with three 5cl drams from Glengoyne: the 10 Year Old, 12 Year Old and 15 Year Old. To enhance the experience, a slab of dark chocolate is included for the perfect pairing to these sumptuous whiskies.

The Sassenach Wild Scottish Gin

Outlander fans will surely know that this gin, released by lead actor Sam Heughan, is named for the playful nickname given by his character Jamie Fraser to his long-time love, Claire. It's a Gaelic term of endearment meaning an English outsider. The tasty Scottish gin was indeed made with love too, as Sam infused the expression with botanicals from his hometown in Dumfries and Galloway, such as crab apples, rhubarb and pink heather.

Four Roses Bourbon

Gift this lovely Four Roses bourbon, along with a dozen of valentine's red roses. The five-year-old Kentucky whiskey is rich, sweet and smooth as silk. The founder of Four Roses was a romantic himself, naming his whisky after his sweetheart. As the legend goes, he asked her to marry him, and she replied that if her answer were "Yes", she would wear a corsage of roses on her gown to the upcoming ball. On the night, she wore exactly four, and he therefore called his beloved bourbon Four Roses - as a symbol of his passion for his one true love.
