Home to the World's Best Whisky in 2021, Glen Scotia is one of only three distilleries still operating in the former Victorian Whisky Capital of the World, Campbeltown. Now the smallest whisky region in Scotland, whisky fans still flock to the area every May for the Campbeltown Malts Festival, to be welcomed by Glen Scotia with a very special dram crafted for the event.

This year, attendees of the sell-out festival can take part in a Dunnage Warehouse Tasting with Master Distiller Iain McAlister, explore the World of Sherry and Whisky with writers Dave Broom and Michael Henry, as well as take in the vibe with musical guests and plenty of drams. However, you needn't miss out on all the fun, as their annual festival bottling comes complete with a special QR code which will transport viewers to Campbeltown through music.

As you sip your dram, join whisky writer and musician Neil Ridley, music producer Dean Horner and Scottish singer-songwriter Jenny Sturgeon, as they take you on an immersive journey into 'The Sound of Glen Scotia' - an artistic collaboration using the sounds of the distillery as you've never heard them before.

The whisky itself is a limited-edition single malt crafted especially for the 2024 event. Made using unpeated barley, the liquid was matured in first-fill bourbon casks for over eight years, before being treated to a finish in the finest Fino sherry casks for six months and bottled at a cask strength of 56.2% abv.

Known for its pale colour and dry mouth-feel Fino sherry has imparted beautiful fruity and floral notes upon the single malt. Expect fresh notes of floral bouquet, lemon peel, white orchard fruits and oak spice on the palate, with a lengthy, maritime and satisfyingly dry finish.
