Rich and complex with stewed fruits, plums, cherries and warm blueberry pie, there's marzipan in there too and with time it adds treacle and liquorice to it's already delightful bouquet. A little water and some time allows some of it's Islay nature to develop, fresh seaweed, coal tar and sweet tobacco now lingers in the glass offering the perfect balancing act to the richer sweeter notes which still dominate throughout.
Stewed winter fruits with cinnamon are followed by gentle bursts of sweet satsuma and zesty lemon before settling on soft and gently smoked heather and a white peppery warmth. The balance of flavours are perfect. The finish combines turfy peat, liquorice and a drying charred oak and spice
