The nose has juicy black fruits, with cherries and plums and just a touch of lemon icing sugar. The palate is big and full with Christmas cake, blackcurrant and pear notes, with a sweet fruity quality reminiscent of mulled wine. The finish has a definite American oak influence with a hint of milk chocolate. The Tweeddale range is inspired by Borders blender Richard Day’s cellar book with his great-grandson now recreating The Tweeddale Whisky that Richard Day was distilling in the early 20^th Century.
