If you’re looking for the perfect bottle to open this Christmas Day, we have just the ticket!
Hailing from R&B Distillers "The Tweeddale: The Evolution" is their oldest Tweeddale expression yet. Made up of a blend of classic Speyside single malts and a Lowland single grain and the youngest component whisky being 28 years old, this whisky oozes quality.
The nose has juicy black fruits, with cherries and plums and just a touch of lemon icing sugar. The palate is big and full with Christmas cake, blackcurrant and pear notes, with a sweet fruity quality reminiscent of mulled wine. The finish has a definite American oak influence with a hint of milk chocolate.
The Tweeddale range is inspired by Borders blender Richard Day’s cellar book with his great-grandson now recreating The Tweeddale Whisky that Richard Day was distilling in the early 20th Century. Who doesn't love a bit of history with their dram?
The Tweeddale: The Evolution recently won 2018 Readers Panel Overall Winner in the Scottish Field Whisky Challenge and it’s certainly one of our top releases this year.
We don’t expect this limited edition expression to be around for long so act fast if you want one in time for Christmas! Get yours here
