What makes Isle Of Harris Gin the customer favourite of 2025? Well, it's a critically acclaimed liquid which captures the nature of the Isle of Harris due to its inclusion of nine carefully selected botanicals. The hand-harvested sugar kelp plays a big role in creating the gin's stunning maritime flavour profile. Bottled at 45% abv, you can expect refreshing lime, pleasant spices, and sea salt complemented by gentle herbal notes. Fresh pine needles, coriander, and grapefruit zest develop on the palate. The finish is lingering and pleasant with hints of cracked black pepper and vanilla appearing at the close.

In 2026, what are our gin lovers looking for? More niche brands? Organic botanicals? Wild flavours? We're not just whisky experts here, so we've once agained gathered our top tier squad of industry experts to find you the most exciting gins to look for in 2026:

1. The Loch Fyne Botanical Gin

Another delightful hand-crafted product from their workshop on the shores of Loch Fyne. Loch Fyne Whiskies possess an intimate understanding of what customers like. This gin stands out amongst an ever growing population with a clever infusion of Scottish maritime botanicals. It's a classy, balanced and distinctive gin, served up in a handmade glass bottle.

2. The Sassenach Wild Scottish Gin

One for our Outlander fans! Brought to you by Sam Heughan, the man beind our favourite red-headed protagonist, this tasty Scottish gin was crafted in collaboration with Crafty Distillery in Newton Stewart. The liquid was made to reflect the flavours of Heughan's childhood in the Dumfries and Galloway. Crab apples, rhubarb, and fragrant pink heather grew in abundance, and so these locally foraged botanicals were utilised in the expression, alongside Scottish juniper, pine resin, bramble leaf and toasted oats. 

Noted for its creamy, soft mouthfeel, the juniper-forward London Dry style gin is balanced with those tart fruit and subtle floral notes. The crisp, fresh finish brings more fresh fruits, with an underlying spice and earthy tones.

3. Isle of Raasay Gin

This Scottish gin is the inaugural gin from Isle of Raasay Distillery, and the first legal spirit from Raasay itself, an island in the Hebrides rooted in centuries of illicit distilling. 10 botanicals make up this handcrafted gin, including rhubarb root, Raasay juniper, and Raasay triple distilled spirit. 

The result: a refreshing, zesty dry gin with a lasting aftertaste that encapsulates Raasay’s style, character and impressive geological variety.

4. Tobermory Hebridean Gin

Inspired by the natural surroundings of the Isle of Mull, this award-winning Scottish gin is distilled at Tobermory. Mixed with a splash of spirit from the Tobermory whisky still, it is then infused for at least 24 hours with a hand-selected mix of botanicals including juniper, tea, elderflower, heather and sweet orange peel.

Expect notes of fresh juniper, sweet citrus, coriander, gentle herbs and spices, and a subtle touch of sweet malt.

5. ROKU Gin

This Japanese gin takes its name from the Japanese for 'six', representing the six uniquely Japanese botanicals that set this spirit apart: yuzu peel, sakura flower, sakura leaf, sencha tea, gyokuro tea and sansho pepper. Harvested in accordance with 'shun', the moment of peak flavour, these botanicals are steeped and then distilled before being blended together with 8 traditional gin botanicals including juniper, angelica seed and cardamom.

The nose has sweet cherry blossom and green tea. The palate is complex but harmonious; a traditional gin base topped by yuzu (Japanese citrus fruit) with a silky smooth texture. The finish crisp with a touch of sansho pepper spice.

6. Copper Lion Dry Gin

Made by whisky drinkers, Copper Lion Dry Gin was made with enough complexity, balance and texture to be drunk on its own, as well as mixed. Each small batch of the gin is made by founder, Minnie, in the heart of the Cotswolds with a recipe of 12 English garden botanicals. Presented at 45% abv.

Expect a nose of freshly cut grass, jasmine and citrus, with a palate of juniper and gingerbread. Notes of cinnamon and sweet marmalade reveal themselves in the lasting finish. Try neat, in a G&T or a Martini.

7. Barra Atlantic Gin

As refreshing and cool as the Atlantic itself, this chic gin has certainly made a splash. A treat for the tastebuds, the gin contains seventeen specially chosen botanicals, including carrageen seaweed from the shores of Barra, create this maritime masterpiece. Expect sweet and savoury with notes of menthol, dry juniper, coriander, and citrus. Enjoy on ice with tonic with a grapefruit wedge to garnish.

8. Secret Garden Christmas Gin

A seasonal product that can only be bought in the lead up to Christmas, this is definitely one to keep an eye out for at the close of the year! This 39% abv expression epitomises the smells and flavours once would associate with the period, with cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger leading. You can also expect to find angelica root, coriander, and hand harvested Mallow petals in a gin that is free from added sugars, artificial colourings, flavourings or additives.

Expect a rich and effervescent nose, with gently herbaceous notes arising. The palate is smooth, with a gentle spice from the cardamom and ginger coming to the fore. The finish is smooth, and gives that kick of Christmas spice we all know and love.

9. Glaswegin Original

A cult favourite, particularly in its hometown, this Glaswegin was inspired by the city and its people, but its taste has worldwide appeal. Distilled in an artisan still in the heart of Glasgow, this small batch expression is a London Dry Gin, and features a blend of eight gin botanicals. This is a gin that, with its minimalist design and smooth, fresh taste, is sure to stand out in any drinks collection.

Expect to have aromas of Scottish milk thistle and orange flower on the nose. The palate is smooth, well-rounded, and has notes of juniper and lime. The finish is refreshing, and harbours some juniper dryness.
