This Indian single malt from Amrut in Bangalore takes its name from the Hindi for 'orange', a fitting reflection of the unique maturation which used casks that had held Oloroso sherry infused with orange peel for two years before being disgorged and filled with 3-year-old Amrut single malt to age further.The nose has plenty of the orange influence, without becoming overpowering, alongside traces of vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. Returns
If your item is damaged in transit or you receive an item that is clearly different to that ordered, we will arrange for a return via courier and issue a full refund.
To be eligible for a full refund you must contact us to inform us of any issue within 24 hours of receipt. Refunds will be credited back to your original payment method once we have received the returned items.
Please note that any personalised, bespoke or made-to-order items, or items with a broken seal, are non-refundable unless faulty.
Cancellations
If you wish to cancel your order, you must do so within 14 days from the day you received delivery. Items that are bespoke or personalised cannot be cancelled, and will only be returnable if faulty.
In the event of cancellation, the cost of returning your items will be your responsibility and not that of The Whisky Shop. Items must be returned within 14 days from the date of cancellation. Refunds will be processed on receipt of the items.

At first glance, India appears to be the world’s biggest whisky-drinking nation, however these figures acknowledge consumption of unregulated spirit typically made with molasses (and so unrecognised as whisky by EU legislation). Production of ‘real’ Indian whisky has flourished in recent decades, with the launch of India’s first single malt by Amrut in 2004, followed by Goa’s Paul John Distilleries established several years later. India’s climate lends itself to fast maturation, and Indian whiskies are usually younger than their Scotch counterparts, with a sweet, fragrant flavour profile. The Indian whisky brands we currently stock are Amrut, Indri and Paul John.
