Grain Whisky
The term ‘grain whisky’ applies to any whisky made from cereal grains other than 100% malted barley, for example corn, wheat, or rye. These whiskies have their own unique characteristics, depending on their composition. Most contain a small proportion of malted barley to aid the mashing process (this is compulsory for Scottish and Irish varieties).
