DESCRIPTION

This super rare Auchentoshan 1965 single malt whisky is limited to only 123 bottles. It has been matured in the finest American oak barrels for 42 years allowing this incredible whisky the ability to produce some of the most exciting flavours ever to come out of the Auchentoshan distillery:

Notes of honey, vanilla and coconut, balanced with citrus and cooling mint tones are all on offer here.

KNOWLEDGE BAR

Auchentoshan Distillery was built on the very edge of the Highlands. The name itself (pronounced ‘Ock-un-tosh-un’) comes from the language of the Highlands, Gaelic, and means ‘the corner of the field’. The distillery draws its water from high in the Kilpatrick Hills, above the Highland Line, yet it is very much a ‘Lowland’ malt - indeed, it is the only distillery in Scotland which continues to distil its spirit three times, in three pot stills, a practice once common among Lowland distilleries.
