Following on from the 2017 release, Compass Box No Name No.2 is a limited edition blended malt Scotch whisky that lets the liquid speak for itself. This 2019 release combines sherry cask matured Islay malt with the maritime influence of Talisker, some old and ethereal malt from Clynelish in the Highlands, and a proprietary blend of Highland malt matured in toasted French oak. Bottled at 48.9% abv, just 8,802 bottles have been produced worldwide, free from chill filtration and artificial colouring.
The nose is complex with peat smoke accentuated by cherry blossom. On the palate, peat and maritime notes develop with toasted oak spice and a sweet icing sugar note, before the long and warming finish.
