DESCRIPTION

Built in 1852 by William Mackenzie and one of Speyside's hidden gems both literally and metaphorically. This 16 year old "Flora and Fauna" edition is one of the few releases of Dailuaine as a single malt and is one best enjoyed after dinner.

KNOWLEDGE BAR

In 1889, Dailuaine became the first distillery to be fitted with a "pagoda" roof above the malt kiln. Designed by Charles Cree Doig, a famous distillery architect, the pagoda roof went on to be installed in most malt distilleries and, although very few distilleries still malt their own barley on-site, they often maintain their pagoda roof as this has become the recognised symbol of a Scotch malt distillery.
