This Islay single malt was distilled in 2010 at Caol Ila distillery before spending eight years in a single sherry butt to reach full maturation. Bottled in 2019 by family-run independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co. as part of the First Editions series, this expression produced a total of 818 bottles at a strength of 46% abv.
The nose has classic Islay smoke and brine, with a clean citrus lemon notes. The palate brings rich peat notes, seaweed and bonfire smoke, before a long and peppery finish with lingering brine.
