This Speyside single malt was distilled in 2007 at Mortlach distillery before spending 11 years in a single sherry butt. Bottled in 2019 by family-run independent bottler Hunter Laing & Co. as part of the First Editions series, this expression produced a total of 385 bottles at a strength of 46% abv.
The nose is fruity with apple and pear notes. The palate is sweet with red berries and milk chocolate atop a cinnamon spice. The finish is long and lingering with an oaky spice.
