This limited edition bottling from Campbeltown's Glen Scotia distillery was distilled in 2006 from peated malt barley and matured in first fill barrels before being transferred to American oak hogsheads seasoned with Tawny Port. Matured for a total of 14 years, this expression was bottled in 2020 at a natural cask strength of 52.8% to celebrate the annual Campbeltown Malts Festival.
The nose is sweet and fruity, with heather honey, summer berries and a classic Campbeltown coastal note. The palate brings a soft peat and sea salt note, with sweeter notes of honey, raspberry and peach, before apple crumble and custard. The finish is long and lingering with peat smoke, allspice and black forest fruits.
