Released for their 18th batch of spectacular single cask bottlings, this 10-year-old single malt from GlenDronach has been matured in a single Pedro Ximénez sherry puncheon, personally selected by Master Blender Dr Rachel Barrie, from 2009 to 2020. Just 692 bottles have been produced, each at 61.9% abv and without chill filtration or added colouring.
Crystallised orange melds with dark fruitcake on the nose, alongside hazelnuts, raisins, marzipan and ginger. The palate has fruitcake filled with toasted raisin, orange peel and almond, with these flavours developing into a finish with lingering gingerbread and ground nutmeg.
