Hudson Four Grain Bourbon Description

Hudson Four Grain bourbon whiskey brings together the distinct characteristics of corn, rye, wheat and malted barley. Each batch starts with 800 pounds of grain which is ground at the distillery, cooked and fermented, then distilled twice. It is aged in signature small barrels.

Tuthilltown Distillery, where the Hudson whiskies are made, was the first new distillery in New York State since prohibition when it opened, in 2006.

By 2011 there were 29 new distilleries in the state and by early 2014 there were nearly 90 following a huge increase in the number of small Farm Distilleries like Tuthilltown.

Not all will succeed, but you get the feeling that Tuthilltown, and Hudson, will be around for some time to come.
