Indri’s Diwali Collector’s Edition is a highly sought-after annual release from the acclaimed Piccadily distillery, India’s largest independent manufacturer and seller of malt spirits. While Indri make their whisky on a grand scale, using Indian six-row barley distilled in 14 vast Scottish-style copper pot stills, the Diwali Collector’s Edition is produced in extremely limited quantities and presented in individually numbered bottles.
The 2026 Edition is crafted from spirit aged in hand-picked Ruby Port casks. The subtropical Northern Indian climate in which Indri’s whiskies mature substantially increases oak-to-liquid interaction, developing bold flavour in a short space of time and resulting in a lavishly fruity and honeyed dram balanced with gentle oak tannins.
The release is presented at 58.5% abv, in an intricately wrought bottle and box inspired by the richly contrasting jewel tones of traditional Indian miniature paintings.
Rich and sweet on the nose, with fresh, ripe cherries, blackberries and plums layered with raisins, figs, and hints of toffee and vanilla. A burst of ripe, honeyed fruit opens the palate, evolving gently into rich dried fruits, nuts and hints of warming baking spice. The finish is elegant, with soft oak tannins lingering alongside sweet fruits.
