Edwin Blyde & Co Ltd is a leading provider of pewter design and manufacture in Sheffield and all Edwin Blyde products are hand made by skilled craftsmen and women on site.
This is a 2" Pewter quaich with celtic wire thistle inside with traditional celtic handles and a polished finish.
Hand crafted and individually boxed.

Pewter is an alloy of tin, the fourth most valuable metal, and small quantities of other metals such as bismuth or antimony, and copper. These give strength to the final product. Pewter in Britain dates from the 2nd century AD, when it was thought to have been introduced by the Romans. Many of the techniques used by today's British pewterers are probably the same as those which have been employed for nearly 2000 years.
