The first release from Ballymorgan Farm as part of Waterford's Origin Series. Ballymorgan 1.1 is made with 100% Irish barley, grown by Robert Milne, on one of Ireland's premier barley terroirs through Country Wexford. This expressed has been matured in a mixture of American oak and French oak casks, and bottled at 50% ABV without chill-filtration or colouring.
Fruity aromas are rich on the nose, alongside milk chocolate, rhubarb and custard. Granny Smith green apples make a pleasant first impression on the palate, with sweet notes of caramel and custard developing with each sip. The finish is incredibly gentle, with a kick of heat that lingers on in the aftertaste.
