The Sexton
Single Malt Irish Whiskey
Triple distilled for smoothness and exclusively matured in Oloroso sherry casks sourced form Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, The Sexton has a smooth, rich and approachable flavour for a thoroughly modern Irish whiskey.
About Sexton
In Irish folklore, The Sexton is the guardian of the graveyard, serving as the final person you see before you move on to the afterlife and to whom you tell your life story. The Sexton whiskey invites you to live a life with a story worth telling. A disruptive spirit, the single malt is made to be drunk neat or mixed in cocktails.
The Sexton Signature serve is the Bury The Hatchet cocktail. Combine 50ml of Sexton, 25ml lemon juice, 12.5ml sugar syrup and top up your highball glass with soda water.
The expression is crafted with 100% Irish barley.
The hexagonal shape of the bottle is a reference to the stones of the Giant's Causeway, in Northern Ireland - the birthplace of The Sexton.
History
First released in the US in 2018, The Sexton was crafted by Alex Thomas, one of the few female Master Blenders in Ireland. She decided to break the rules of traditional single malt whiskey, and set out to create an unexpected yet approachable taste profile. By guiding carefully selected Oloroso sherry casks through maturation, the bold taste and smooth finish that are unique to the Sexton were born.
