Knowledge Bar

Established in 1826 by Peter MacKenzie, high on the northern flank of Ben Rinnes, the dominant peak of Speyside, near Aberlour.

The distillery is situated in a high moorland environment with water drawn from two granite-bed hill streams, the Scurran and Rowantree Burns. There have only been three previous releases from the distillery.

A 15 year old Flora and Fauna distillery bottling, a 21 year old 1974 Rare Malt expression and a 23 year old 1985 Special Release. All are almost impossible to find today.
