A brand that likes to see the fun side of things, Islay’s Bruichladdich distillery was once mistaken for a weapons of mass destruction site by US Military Intelligence, leading to the launch of their Whisky of Mass Distinction collection. This, in combination with a genuine Ministry of Defence submarine that was discovered close to the distillery, and a replica of which sits at the site today, gave rise to the Yellow Submarine (2005), Yellow Submarine II: The Legend Resurfaces (2018), and now Yellow Submarine III releases. This iteration of the now famous malt is a distillation of 100% Scottish unpeated barely (Appaloosa varietal). Matured for 14 years, in a cask recipe of 25% first-fill Bourbon barrels and 75% first- and second-fill French red wine casks, the final product was bottled at 54.2% abv, non-chill filtered and without added colour. This iteration of the now famous malt is a distillation of 100% Scottish unpeated barely (Appaloosa varietal). Matured for 14 years, in a cask recipe of 25% first-fill Bourbon barrels and 75% first- and second-fill French red wine casks, the final product was bottled at 54.2% abv, non-chill filtered and without added colour.

Master Blender, Adam Hannett, describes its as “luxuriously smooth, with orange zest, honeysuckle, apple and pear all playing their part, before crème brûlée richness and a touch of sea salt bring you right back to Islay. It’s playful, layered and moreish”.

Returns

If your item is damaged in transit or you receive an item that is clearly different to that ordered, we will arrange for a return via courier and issue a full refund.

To be eligible for a full refund you must contact us to inform us of any issue within 24 hours of receipt. Refunds will be credited back to your original payment method once we have received the returned items.

Please note that any personalised, bespoke or made-to-order items, or items with a broken seal, are non-refundable unless faulty.

Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order, you must do so within 14 days from the day you received delivery. Items that are bespoke or personalised cannot be cancelled, and will only be returnable if faulty.

In the event of cancellation, the cost of returning your items will be your responsibility and not that of The Whisky Shop. Items must be returned within 14 days from the date of cancellation. Refunds will be processed on receipt of the items.
