This cask strength single malt is produced at England's Cotswolds distillery and matured in shaved, toasted and re-charred (STR) American oak red wine barriques. Released in limited batches, only 2500 bottles of this batch have been produced free from chill filtration at a cask strength of 60.4% abv.
The nose has dry hay and sawdust with sweet notes of dark chocolate, figs and plums. The palate has warming cereals and buttered toast, with fresh red fruits and sweet butterscotch. The finish is dry and spicy with fruit and nut chocolate and lingering oak.
