This single cask expression from Hunter Laing & Co.'s First Editions series was distilled in 2009 at Blair Athol in the Perthshire town of Pitlochry. Matured in a single sherry butt for its full term, this limited edition release produced just 669 bottles in 2019, each one presented at a preferred strength of 46% abv, free from chill filtration and artificial colouring.
The nose has apple, strawberry and caramel. The palate is sweet and fruity with vanilla, red berries and a spicy undertone. The finish is long and fruity with a pepper note lingering.
