Named after the body of water which the distillery resides by, Loch Gorm is a sherry matured expression released annually by Kilchoman in limited numbers. Loch Gorm 2021 is a vatting of 24 Oloroso sherry butts filled in 2011 and 2012 which impart rich fruits, spiced dark chocolate and melted brown sugar notes into the whisky which balances with that delicious Kilchoman heavy peat smoke we all know and love...well, at least many do!
Only 17,000 bottles were produced in this limited run. Bottled at 46% ABV, free from chill filtration and naturally coloured. Lemon peel and creamy shortbread up front on the aromas give way to a whisp of peat smoke and warming spices. Rich chocolate, juicy dates and clove on the palate with toasted almonds and peat smoke throughout, finishing in herbel, earthy leather and dry red fruits.
