A farm-based distillery with its origins in an illicit site, Balmenach is one of a handful of distilleries whose spirit is too highly prized by blenders to see an official release. This is where independent bottlers such as Single Cask Nation come into their own, shining their spotlight into some of the whisky world’s less well-known (but equally well-loved) corners. Here they’ve chosen to showcase Balmenach’s rich, hefty spirit by maturing it in a single, first-fill bourbon barrel for the entirety of its 12 years. One of 211 bottles, free from artificial colour or chill filtration and bottled at a powerful 60.1% abv. Buttered toast, digestive biscuits and poached orchard fruit on the nose meet more toast – toasted oak, toasted oats, toasted hazelnuts – honeyed vanilla, and a touch of sharp summer fruit on the rich palate. Returns

If your item is damaged in transit or you receive an item that is clearly different to that ordered, we will arrange for a return via courier and issue a full refund.

To be eligible for a full refund you must contact us to inform us of any issue within 24 hours of receipt. Refunds will be credited back to your original payment method once we have received the returned items.

Please note that any personalised, bespoke or made-to-order items, or items with a broken seal, are non-refundable unless faulty.

Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order, you must do so within 14 days from the day you received delivery. Items that are bespoke or personalised cannot be cancelled, and will only be returnable if faulty.

In the event of cancellation, the cost of returning your items will be your responsibility and not that of The Whisky Shop. Items must be returned within 14 days from the date of cancellation. Refunds will be processed on receipt of the items.
