A rich umber colour with ruby lights; excellent beading. A dense mellow nose, the first impression is savoury, leathery, soon developing faintly herbal/floral notes and a suggestion of dark chocolate. A creamy, mouth-filling, texture and sweet taste, drying lightly, with some spice and chocolate in the aftertaste (Turkish Delight). Unusual and delicious.

ReviewsThe Lakes Distillery
English Single Malt Whisky
A whisky distillery with an artistic ethos, situated in the heart of The Lake District National Park. It claims that “the nature of their art is whisky, the inspiration of their art is nature” and, while they respect the traditional whisky-making process, their philosophy looks at not only what whisky is, but what whisky can be. Their intent is to make a whisky which expresses The Lakes through flavour.
