Part of the Arran Cask Finishes range, this expression has spent the last few years of its maturation in a selection of Port casks sourced from an artisan producer. It was matured initially in traditional oak casks for approximately 8 years beforehand. The result? A perfectly paired dram, full of rich spices in the flavour.
A freshly baked apple pie fills the aromas on the nose, along with cinnamon spice. More nutty flavours and dried fruits appear on the palate, and a splash of water adds citrusy mandarin notes and honeyed sweetness. Dark chocolate orange lingers in the finish, followed by a burst of spice and black cherries.
