Banff 40 Year Old Platinum Old & Rare description

Distilled in November 1975 at Banff distillery in Speyside, this single malt was matured for over 40 years before being bottled in July 2016. Only 122 bottles were filled from a single refill hogshead, presented non chill-filtered at a natural cask strength of 40.6% abv.

Knowledge Bar

An unfortunate distillery, Banff suffered two fires and a German bombing during its lifetime. Even after closure and in 1983, this poor Speyside distillery was struck by another fire in 1991 destroying what little remained.
