26th Oct 2023 The second edition, and second year, of Lochlea's seasonal batch releases, Fallow (Second Crop) is a limited edition bottling from the farm distillery. The bottling has been made to reflect autumn, when the fields are left fallow to rest after a busy harvest. Matured within Oloroso sherry and Pedro Ximenez sherry butts, the Lowland single malt has taken on a wonderfully dark colour. Bottled at 46% abv, free from chill filtration.

A highly coveted bottle of the sublime Blanton's, bottled Straight From The Barrel at 61.3% abv. Hailing from Buffalo Trace distillery in Kentucky, this full cask strength version is the bourbon as its most intense and unadulterated.

For October's second episode of Digital Drams we journey down to Japan (metaphorically) as we sample some drams from Nikka. The event will take place at 7.30pm on Wednesday, 18th.
Nikka is Japan’s second biggest distiller, with a rich history of producing whisky dating back to 1934. It produces a large range of single malts and blended whiskies through its two distilleries Yoichi and Miyagiko.
